Holy Mountain: Repquistadortilians

The Holy Mountain is a film directed by Alejandro Jodorowsky from 1973.

It is one of the most bizarre films I have ever watched. I would need to review it at least 3 or 4 more times to get a real good grasp on what it all means. That is besides the point right now though. I want to highlight a small portion of the film here on G&G. There is a scene representing the Spanish conquest of Mexico using frogs and lizards in pint-sized, amazingly crafted costumes. Of course this was my favorite part of the movie....I was so impressed by how great the little costumes were!

I do suggest you see this film at some point in your life due to it's mind-altering, religiously charged and societally taboo content. For now...here are some pictures of froggy and lizard fashion for your enjoyment. =)

Heheheee....look at his little spear!!!

The marabou feathers were the perfect choice for their headdresses...

It's not complete without the cruel, twisted bloody torture and aftermath...of course...
